RV rental
Very good experience, simple handling of the motorhome.
(Translated by Google) Great experience of magnificent landscapes the motorhome is simple and comfortable to use; drive, however pay attention to; fuel consumption because it consumes a lot, think about taking out glass breakage insurance because gravel arrives quickly in your windshield and part of the deposit leaves as quickly as the gravel that hits you. makes the impact. But otherwise no regrets super trip çi you hesitate; go do it you will not be disappointed and moreover it is not difficult to find campsites finally when it is the season [...]
an exceptional trip to celebrate our 60th birthday!!!!
(Translated by Google) to all nature lovers!!! we have decided to celebrate our 60th birthday by crisscrossing Quebec in a motorhome from 06/26/16 to 10/09/16.....an exceptional period when to each kilometer the pleasure of the eyes was fantastic !!!..left from Montreal (city in itself not very interesting apart from the pubs, restaurant and friendly indoor city) ....we put heading for the national parks of Mauricie, Jacques cartier, Saguenay (a treat !!! certainly in these parks you have to walk a little ... sometimes a lot, but the efforts pay off .... on arrival ;e sumptuous landscapes !!...although not very sporty it was nevertheless accessible !! )..visit of the fjord on the side. north ....crossing to; tadoussac (free)...then Quebec City, the old town is superb, we were able to park our RV on the old port for $20 a day.......then head to the province of the "cantons of east "and its national parks...there; still full of peepers!! more advanced vegetation, lots of flamboyant reds...and back for the last night to the oak park at . 15 minutes from the point of return of our RV .............. I thank cite-caravane for the quality. of its almost new RVs, their services, and the nice granny who came to pick us up at the montmorency metro !!..... thanks also to; authentikcanada for their professionalism and their advice ..... in short, a great vacation!! whom I confidently recommend to anyone. all nature lovers!!! mixed impression about the services of our AuthentikCanada advisor
(Translated by Google) When you book a motorhome with AuthentikCanada, you are very well received, you receive lots of very nice and friendly emails, you feel like you are being welcomed with friends... We are told: "we are at your disposal to organize our trip, if you have any questions, do not hesitate,...."
So, once our campervan is booked; and paid, I did not hesitate...
I did not hesitate; first to; asked by e-mail to; that they send me the detailed invoice for my rental which was mentioned as an attachment in an email but which had not reached me. I then obtained it but I was made to understand that I already had it. received.
In short, this being only administrative hassles, I continued to organize our trip by planning our itinerary, searching for campsites on the internet, booking the tourist activities we wanted to do ...I still had a few more questions which I emailed. our AuthentikCanada advisor, at; to know
Is it recommended? to reserve campsites at; this season where is it easy to find a place?
Where is it recommended to park a motorhome to visit big cities like Toronto, Montreal, Quebec?
What company could I be advised for a whale safari...
And there, the answer amazed me!
We (i.e. my adviser, who presented herself almost as my best friend ready to do anything to help us in the first emails), I was told very succinctly that "What, it's really the last moment to organize your trip, you'll be very late, you probably won't find a place in the campsites which are almost all closed at this season, for the safari in the whales, you are out of season, you have very little chance of seeing whales in this season, forget it, and as for parking the motorhome in the big cities, you will only have to find parking!
Thank you very much for all this valuable information which helped me enormously!!!!
Suddenly, I managed on my own, we spent three nights out of 11 in campsites that were deserted in; this season (and open!), so no problem finding places at the last moment. For the other nights, we parked; in Walmart store parking lots that are easy to get to.
For the whale safari, it was magnificent, just brilliant because there were very few people and we saw several whales including two 20 m fin whales, magnificent.
The tourist places at; this season were very infrequent and therefore easy to access.
As for access to large cities with a large vehicle, there so we managed and found some great deals that would have been great. easy for authenticCanada to let us know, thanks for the advice.
Especially since these are surely questions that come up frequently.
Another detail that is not explicitly specified is that when you rent an RV from Montreal, the vehicle depot is at your disposal. more than an hour by car from Montreal.
As for the Discount VR supplier, the people were very friendly and accommodating, but the vehicle we were rented was had a faulty battery with alarms ringing for nothing in the middle of the night, an empty gas supply with no one telling us where; fill it, same for the water.
In short, it was better to be resourceful.
Our vacation in Canada was, however, enjoyable. a great experience. On a future trip, we will opt for a different solution.

A very nice stay
(Translated by Google) Hello, we spent a very nice stay. (from 08/10 to 15/10/2016)
Very well received at Cité; Caravan.
The motorhome is spacious and well equipped.
It was time to do it because many campsites and activities (eg seaplane, whale watching cruises) are closed after 15/10
A great trip in an average motorhome
(Translated by Google) Hello to; all, I rarely take the time to write an opinion, but when I have several points (negative or positive) to raise, I do.
First of all, my opinion on Cruise Canada has nothing to do with it; do with the one I have with the Authentik Canada agency, which has been; very close listening and very available when it comes to all my fears and apprehensions for the trip and with which I am very satisfied !!
I booked (as it is advisable to do) the motorhome before the plane ticket, in order to adapt my travel dates to the availability of motorhomes, and this, 6 months before our departure, in order to to have attractive prices and to this price I added a package of 2000 km and my rental cost me; around 850€ for 14 days.
When we picked up our motorhome, it should be noted that it was not plugged in, ie we could not test the electrical devices when driving. ;state of play. It appeared clean and in good working order to us. my rental I had added; a cooking kit (which was free) and a bedding kit (sheets/towels/sleeping bags/dishcloths) which was around 100 Canadian dollars.
At the end of our trip I had prepared; a listing of what went and went wrong in the motorhome (RV Car) in order to submit it to review; the rental agency in the case of a satisfaction questionnaire. But they didnˆt even ask us. if our trip had gone well.
Here is the listing:
-Everything about the engine of the RV worked great, the automatic gearbox is easy to shift. handle for those accustomed to the manual gearbox. The connections worked, nothing wrong. say about it.
- Concerning the passenger compartment, the side "house" of the motorhome is something else. I would say only the curtains were clean, the tip of the "iceberg"!
- Indeed, the interior of the cupboards was sticky, there were leftover food, the dishes were poorly washed and our "kitchen" kit consisted of a few cutlery (6 tablespoons). coffee + 6 tablespoons + 6 forks + 6 butter knives and 6 knives a little sharper but with a round tip, still not practical for cutting meat, from 5 bowls of dé similar, 6 hard plastic cups and 6 large plates, plus some poor quality silicone utensils that were "melted" on the end (great plastic pieces that come off and are mixed with your food...)). In short, if you can, bring your utensils at least for cooking as well as a good can opener (I won't qualify the one we had...). The inside of the cupboards was also blistered; and damaged, and we quickly understood why: humidity; due to the condensation of the night ran down the walls and wet the wood of the cupboards and the sheets that touched the walls... on the ceilings (therefore black mushrooms you see), especially those near the berths (in the alcove, above the driver's cabin). Not very healthy all in all... Of course we would get some air every day, but behind that we have to warm up the inside.
- Regarding the heating, you should know that the vehicle cools quickly, and that it heats with propane. We don't think about it because it's not written when we book either, but we, for example, went to Alberta in early October and it was snowing!! We did not expect to ça (but it was brilliant huh!!), especially in terms of heating...You should know that in 2 weeks we filled the propane tank twice, which we find at gas stations, but not all of them (therefore regularly check your level of propane which you use for heating, hot water, the refrigerator and the stove!), and the full amounts to $25 to every time ! A small budget &; also take into account when preparing your trip! And it's up to the attendant to do it, so go ask first. Inside, the handling of gas is very specific, the attendant will come and fill the gas tank for you.
- Concerning the shower, it was clean, but if you want to take a shower, consider; put the water to; heat at least 15 minutes (or even 30) before taking it so that it is very hot.
- Regarding the kitchen equipment, our microwave did not work well. In fact the countdown digits were displayed, but it would not start... less than a "slap" on the side; to every use!! A bad contact probably dû to the shaking of the motorhome during the journey. Painful...
- You should know that the microwave does not make an "oven", so forget about frozen meals such as lasagna, pizzas etc...
- The cooker consisted of 3 gas burners. Gas then, and the grate was really dirty. It has even been assumed that some had to use it on campfires to make barbecue (dirt accumulated on the bars of the grid).
- The kitchen hood suction worked well, but the light was clogged with cooking grease, you couldn't see anything.
- Concerning the bedding, watch out for back problems... There were two of us for a C25, which means we had room! (Yes, because family motorhomes were cheaper on booking since there were more couples to travel than families, at least in my off-season booking period "). We had the choice between 3 beds: the bed in the back, the bed-table (remove the leg of the table and form a bed with the benches), or the one in the alcove above the driver and passenger. Of course, we took the bed, which did not require daily handling. The first 3-4 days &cced;it was fine, because we were simply exhausted with the great hikes we did during the day, but at the end of the day in the end, me who suffers from the back, I was literally broken in two. Mandatory stretching sessions for 30 minutes every morning! Then the mattress is covered with a thick plastic cover, which, you can imagine, does not breathe...
- Regarding the linen kit; $50 per person, let me tell you, that's the one thing you shouldn't take: it's just a rip off! In France they put what is called a fitted sheet on the mattresses (at the four elasticated corners which make the sheet hold on the mattress): there, there were two flat sheets and too short for them to fit. 'we could tie them up... suddenly at night we found ourselves constantly pulling on the sheets which formed a ball under the back, very annoying when we sleep of course. Not to mention the state of "cleanliness" sheets: they were washed but stained.... At this price, we still expect clean sheets, stained sheets, we turn them into rags! It was still not correct on the part of the agency. Very neglected detail. Regarding the sleeping bags, ditto, stained and pilled, we each had one, which we actually unfolded. to make two layers of blankets because it was peeling at night!! (-10°C at night outside often), so in short, take a little less clothes (because there are laundromats everywhere either in towns or campsites) and take your sheets and sleeping bags!! There remains the inconvenience of transporting the pillows, but this must also exist in "camping" format or included in a good sleeping bag! But at least you will save a significant sum for a service that is not good. (Bath towels not very clean either and tea towels that don't wipe the least bit... hand towels in fact!)
- Regarding the cleaning of the motorhome, you should know that it only has a small "child" size broom (to learn to fly it may be sufficient but for the household it is not is really not terrible...). So no bucket, mop, washing up liquid, sponge or washing up liquid...you have to buy it all! Not to mention the fact that, of course, you will have to go through a car wash before returning the motorhome (count between 15 and 20 dollars for cleaning).
Well, it was a first for us to go on a road trip in a motorhome! The trip was great, Canada is really a vast country and is full of surprises and magnificent landscapes, you will not be disappointed with the destination, at least you can be sure !!!
The camping mode must undoubtedly be more pleasant in the summer, it is not easy on a daily basis to go camping in the fall (which already corresponds to our French winter and I am from the North of France): you should know that you will constantly be a little cold, which your body will get used to (yes, you will be more resistant to the cold after two weeks already!), ;see thick socks for sleeping, flannel pajamas and thin fleeces for sleeping, and a good windbreaker and good hiking shoes, thin and slightly stretchy hiking pants that also fit well. go fast, a hat and gloves if you plan to leave in October, the mountains are unpredictable!
Our vacation budget for 18 days, for those who are wondering...:
- Plane ticket: 750 € round trip from Paris CDG, stopover (compulsory) at; Amsterdam, then long-haul to Calgary, PER PERSON, so 1500€ for two (+ 100€ of insurance that we had taken, but inquire already with your bank and/or insurance, we were in fact already insured with the guarantees of our credit card...)
- Campervan reservation: approximately 850€ (in 2016 the exchange rate is really interesting: 1 dollar = 0.67 €)
- We didn't have our passports so ça added us. around 200€ au voyage + travel authorizations à agrave; abroad (AVE) mandatory for Canada which cost about 5€ per person (to be done from the official website of Canada)
- Épossibly the train to get to your airport (we came from Rennes and in Ouigo we got it for 70€ round trip for two, so very interesting!!)
-Possibly the hotel (we arrived the day before our departure for Paris because the Ouigos and even the other SNCF trains did not correspond to the take-off times): around 100 € (depending on the hotel you choose of course) at CitizenM for us, which we loved. ;)
- The hotel (on the other hand the imperative) in your city of arrival, we were at Calgary, we went at the Travelodge near the Cruise Canada rental agency (about 90€ with breakfast): hotel a bit dated and good breakfast on the other hand!
- The hotel for a night or two if you return the camper one day before your departure (we hadn't planned the thing too much and we ended up at the Sandman Hotel in Calgary, not given: 170 euros per night without breakfast!! But chic hotel!)
- Finally some cash, we had taken 1500 €, or about 2000 dollars to pay for groceries, gasoline (camper vans only run on unleaded gasoline which is much cheaper than in France!!), rights of way in national parks and camping nights (wild camping prohibited)). We got 2 McDonalds and a sort of brasserie in terms of restaurants, and two museums in terms of paid outings. Well can you imagine that we came back with just 50 dollars!! In short, a total, for two of 4560 € for 18 days, all inclusive. It's definitely not a trip you take every day! But be aware that the motorhome is very popular in Canada and that, unlike what we thought, it is not necessarily cheaper than a hostel or a hotel in the end. On the other hand, whoever says road trip in Canada, necessarily says VEHICLE because you will miss a lot of things otherwise and the country is not well served by public transport! The side Camping in the off season, on the other hand, has the advantage of being more flexible, no need to book (and therefore to plan everything at 200%), so you stay where you are. you want when you want (within the limit of 14 consecutive nights at the same campsite), BUT you don't have many campsites left open to visit. this period, approximately one per national park, which is restrictive, either at 200 or 300 km intervals.
That's it, I hope this review will be useful to you. I can't wait to visit the side. French speaking this time from this beautiful country ;)
Thank you Canada for its warm welcome! We spent very nice holidays !!!

Basic but reliable motorhome
(Translated by Google) The keys are handed over in an office in the suburbs of Montreal without too much decor (Cruise Canada Bd Curé-Labelle) and whose exterior appearance suggests that it is closed. for 10 years. The explanations on the operation of the vehicle are given rather hastily, perhaps because the end of the day was approaching. Finally, we take possession in a vehicle designed for 6 people, but we realize that even for 4 people & this will be fair. Nothing to do say about the operation of the vehicle which remains reliable until the end of the journey. We are surprised to see a consumption of 28l/100km, even while driving very economically. Getting the heater started is difficult, as the manual has to be read. our layout does not match the model in the car. Finally, the "crockery" option is practical, but we would have preferred a little more generous equipment. The same goes for the broom placed at the top. our disposal which seems to have come out of a children's den. When the vehicle is taken back, everything is going very well and the deposit is refunded. within a period of time done right. [...]

Insufficient benefit

Also, the trousseau was minimalist with sheets that didn't even fit the surface of the mattress and a poor summer duvet. From the first night at Parc de la Mauricie, we had to go to Obviously it would be impossible for us to sleep, with the choice between shivering or being woken up with a start every 15 minutes by the fan of the heating. Fortunately, Discount Joliette accepted; that we buy 2 quilts at agrave; Quebec that they reimbursed us when the vehicle was returned. [...]

UNSATISFACTORY WELCOME AND SERVICE AT CRUISE CANADA

AS FOR THE WELCOME ON DEPARTURE AND RETURN, WE HAD DEAL WITH A COMPLETELY UNPATHABLE PERSON, WE REALLY SEEMED TO DISTURB AND WHO HAS NO PLACE IN THIS COMMERCIAL SERVICE.
THE MANAGER AT OUR REQUEST HAS TRIED TO OVERCOME OUR DISSATISFACTION BUT DOES NOT ASSUME HIS ROLE (THE CLEANLINESS AND EQUIPMENT CONTROL MUST BE UNDER HIS RESPONSIBILITY AS WELL AS THE MANAGEMENT OF HIS EMPLOYEES).
Pity that this magnificent tour in Quebec leaves an unpleasant memory because of this motorhome rental company.

The (-), the food and its plethora of fast food, the lack of restaurants in the area. balanced food

Un peu trop exigu (promaster21)
