Great way to tour BC, perhaps slightly overpriced
Firstly, this was a great holiday and a brilliant way to tour BC and we had an amazing time, making some lovely memories. The staff at the Vancouver supplier were very friendly and helpful.
However, as much as we didn't have any problems with the van, we paid for a van valued at £3k+, before mileage packages, insurance etc and we felt that the internal standard of finish was not worth the amount we paid. Small things like the velcro on the cushions didn't stick together, the privacy curtain for the front window didn't really stick up very well due to extremely worn velcro, the mosquito netting came away from it's frame a lot, the vertical sliding blinds seemed to double over on themselves when being brought down, which made them difficult to open and finally, we had a mouse visit our van on two consecutive nights, and seemingly got in very easily, despite our best efforts to block any obvious accesses. The drawers also seemed to stick and requires some persuasion on a couple of incidences to open/close.
Mechanically, the van was great, a really comfortable ride and we didn't have any problems of that nature and so we had confidence in the vehicle's performance.
I do appreciate that this van was at the cheaper end of the scale, we completed a lot of research prior to committing to this supplier. For the money we paid, we were expecting a much higher standard of finish/detail.
I hope this can be taken constructively as it didn't detract from our experience, we wanted to make sure we were honest with our feedback.
