- Pourvoirie du Triton, an absolute must in every way (except perhaps the breakfast which is really rustic)!
- Auberge Val-Jalbert, 4 star++ room, good restaurant but mediocre service; very interesting ghost village but quite small and almost absent animations; nevertheless remains a must in my opinion.
- Town of La Baie - Auberge des 21, not terrible at all (70's decor that smells of mothballs, unfriendly staff...) but well located.
- The Bateau-mouche on the Sagueney fjord threw us at the Parc du Saguenay (unpleasant staff which is surprising as Quebecers are so nice) and we had to manage on our own :( Fortunately, we found Martin who gave us a magnificent tour of the fjord in a Zodiac.
- Chalets de l'Anse à Jos, rustic and a bit far from Tadoussac but magnificent view (whales included :-))))
- Whale safari in Tadoussac, 4 stars++, good boat, passionate naturalist, whales and seals galore!
- Manoir Hortensia, family and friendly, a very good address (and a great breakfast with hummingbirds).
- Helicopter flight over Isle-aux-Coudres; a great experience with a great team, dynamic, caring, passionate...!
- Auberge Saint Antoine, by far the best hotel of our entire trip at all levels; on the other hand, you have to flee the area which is much too touristy (we have been to Montcalm, Saint-Roch... to have something more authentic)
