Even the long stages, 5-6 hours by car, passed very quickly, there is always a place to stop, walk (more or less long) to access fantastic landscapes! The best, if you have time, and to choose the walks of more than 30 minutes, because there are a lot less people around. the arrival!!
The only difficult point for us Europeans (I am French and my wife Italian) was gastronomy". It is possible to eat very well, but for a higher budget, otherwise, even when shopping for hikes, it is not always easy to find enough to have a good picnic . But it was also part of the travel experience! We often ate well. in small villages, where there were small restaurants, or in the Ranches on the road!
Quebec is very beautiful too! Perhaps a little less spectacular than the other side... We were also very out of place there, the Quebecers are also very friendly ! We felt the European influence more! Montreal is a fabulous city, where you quickly feel good!
A plus for the Auberge la Fjordelaise, at; l'Anse-Saint-Jean, where the welcome was fantastic, we also ate very well there. ! The sugar tart for dessert, a treat!! We were lucky to fall along with a group of friends from Quebec who met there every year! And the atmosphere was very festive! As soon as you are able to make 2/3 jokes you are quickly integrated!!
The experience has been incredible, it took me at least 3 weeks to my return, to "recover" from all these positive emotions, these landscapes, this nature and these inhabitants!
