Hello! Let me introduce myself, Marie-Christine, a big enthusiast of travel, tourism, and almost everything in life. I have been working in the field for over 18 years. After my studies (in tourism, yes!), I had the chance to live in France, Mexico, Jamaica, and Western Canada while working as a destination representative or flight attendant. I had the chance to travel to many places around the world, without ever forgetting where I come from: Rivière-du-Loup, which is, by the way, a wonderful city you absolutely must see during your visit here. Curious, structured, and a good listener, I love being in contact with people and it will be my pleasure to assist you in creating your next dream trip, because your happiness is important to me. Looking forward. M-C

Traveling is about relearning to see the world through the eyes of a child.

My Picks and Travel Tips

What is my favorite destination in Canada?

Rivière-du-Loup and Kamouraska have the most beautiful sunsets after Hawaii, according to National Geographic, so don't miss it. Also, I really loved the city of Canmore in Alberta, which is right at the entrance to the Rocky Mountains on the way to Banff.

A tip for your trip here

Enjoy every moment. Take your time. Talk to people, soak up our culture and have fun. From east to west, you have a lot to see and you will need to come back a few times to see everything. Canada has a lot to offer and we are happy to see you here!

What is my favorite season in Canada?

Each season has its own things to offer and its advantages, but I would say, for my part, that fall is my favorite season. For its fresh air, the bright colors, apple season, and all the smells that come with it, and because we slowly get ready for the arrival of snow and the magic of the Christmas spirit.

What souvenir to bring back from your trip here?

It's sure that the best memories are the ones you keep in your mind. But, I would say a nice plaid shirt or a pair of gray socks with red stripes, and all local products like maple syrup, ice cider, microbrewery beer, cheese curds (to make poutine!), or a license plate from a Canadian province. You have lots of choices!

Don't forget to pack in your luggage:

I would say a good pair of socks and mittens (warm ones!), a neck warmer and a toque because you never get used to -30 degrees (even being Canadian). If you come in June, a good bug spray will be your best friend. Other than that, everything is nice. Welcome to Canada! :)

What is my dream trip?

I would really like to go to Hawaii and the Philippines with my family to discover the culture and the breathtaking landscapes of these two places. Also, I would really like to keep exploring more of eastern Canada, like Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and the Îles de la Madeleine.
