My passion for travel truly began during my first backpacking trips to the Greek islands, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. I deepened this passion and knowledge during my college degree in tourism management at the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec. What I love most about travel is much more than discovering new places; it's the richness of immersing myself in other people's culture. I had the chance to live for three years in Nicaragua, where I fully immersed myself in their culture, cuisine, language, and values. Traveling enriches us with invaluable human experiences that transform us and open us to new perspectives.

My Picks and Travel Tips

What is my favorite destination in Canada?

My answer is without hesitation Quebec. Although I was born there and have lived there my whole life, I am always impressed by the diversity this province offers. You can discover beautiful villages by the water, like in Bas-Saint-Laurent, explore mountains in the Laurentians, or enjoy the urban and dynamic atmosphere of Montreal. There's always something new to discover in Quebec, and that's what makes it so unique to me.

A tip for your trip here

My best advice would be to plan your movements well. Canada is full of wonders to discover, but it's a vast country, and unfortunately, the attractions are not always close to each other. Whether you wish to explore national parks, cities, or remote regions, it is essential to plan how to get from one place to another, as walking or bus trips are often not practical options.

What is my favorite season in Canada?

Autumn, obviously! The weather is perfect with sunny and pleasant days, where a light jacket or sweater is enough to be comfortable. And what about the colors of the trees... It's simply magnificent, a true spectacle of nature that I never tire of admiring.

What souvenir to bring back from your trip here?

Maple products, it's really a classic! If you've never tasted real maple syrup or if you have loved ones who have never had the chance, it's definitely a must to bring back. Whether it's syrup, candy, or even maple butter, it's so good and truly represents Canada. You can't go wrong with that!

Don't forget to pack in your luggage:

A good comfortable sweatshirt! No matter the season you come to Canada, it's essential to keep warm. Whether it's for cool summer evenings by a lake, autumn hikes with the chilly wind, under a big winter coat, or under your raincoat in spring, the sweatshirt will always be your best ally.

What is my dream trip?

Italy, without hesitation! I dream of discovering the historical and romantic landscapes of this magnificent country, strolling through cities like Rome or Florence. And of course, I wouldn't miss the gastronomy! Tasting real pizza or fresh pasta right on the spot would be a dream come true.
