Legendary splendour
An extraordinary trip!
(Translated by Google) We were able to fully benefit from the experience of Authentik Canada and their Legendary Splendors proposal.
Route of approximately 2,500 km which is easily done by itinerant for an immersion in this extraordinary nature of Canada: grandiose landscapes, magnificent viewpoints and many encounters with wild animals! The whole family (children aged 12 to 18) loved this three-week trip!

Nice circuit, disappointing organization
(Translated by Google) The circuit prepared by Authentik Canada is well chosen, we discovered several magnificent places, made beautiful hikes and visited interesting places.
On the other hand, we were disappointed by the organization of the trip by Authentik Canada (the preparation). We booked the trip on January 23, for a stay in Canada in July. At that time, rooms were available in all the hotels we had chosen (which we knew since we had done a price comparison). Since you can follow the status of reservations online, we were surprised to see that after two weeks a large part of the accommodation was not yet confirmed or unavailable. We then contacted our advisor, who told us not to worry. However, we followed the situation closely and had regular contact with the counselor, who – by the way – was very friendly. However, more than a month after our reservation, more than half of the accommodations were still missing. Of those reserved, it was not always those originally requested. And a quick glance allowed us to see that in the localities where we had no accommodation, there was almost nothing available. So we had to take matters into our own hands and booked accommodation ourselves so as not to find ourselves without accommodation, when it was precisely to avoid having to take care of that that we had gone through the agency.
Of the accommodations that were booked by Authentik Canada, some were average or not so great (Clearwater lodge, for example, was really bad, and the Sands in Vancouver was very noisy), and some were very good (eg. the Hillcrest Hotel or the Whistler Pinnacle).
The provided travel diary was only moderately useful. It certainly contained useful information (ideas for activities), but it was not very precise, and without an Internet connection and google maps on site, we would not have been able to reach most places. Suggestion for improvement: add addresses to put in the GPS or indicate how to get there. In addition, the travel diary contained some outdated information (eg dates of a 2017 festival when we made the trip in 2018). We also missed some crucial information: for example, we would never have known that it was absolutely necessary to go to Lake Louise before 8:00-8:30 a.m. otherwise we would only be able to park several kilometers away, if our BnB guests didn't tell us. On the other hand, the restaurant recommendations contained in the travel diary were often good.
To sum up, we had a great trip, if we had to do it again, we would organize everything ourselves.

Very nice trip
(Translated by Google) Some areas are absolutely out of this world. see - Lake Louise, Glacier Highway, Whistler, Jasper, Revelstoke, Calgary, Victoria, Vancouver - others have no interest - Wells Gray Park, Banff, Okanagan, Pacific Rim???
Some hotels booked were far too far from the center of interest (Kelowna 10 km away!!!, Jamie's Rainforest Inn 4 km from Tofino) others 10 km away! no longer offering to future guests (Days Inn Revelstoke, Bow View Lodge Banff, Ranch Wells Gray)
Be careful with the hours reserved for certain activities, for example cruise on Maligne Lake at 08:45 while the lake is at 50km from Jasper!!!

Complete, well-documented trip and well organized
(Translated by Google) Very balanced circuit between landscapes of glaciers, lakes, forests, and remarkable sites such as the rainforest on Vancouver Island. Excellent GPS programming by you.

Perfectible hotel services
(Translated by Google) Hotels:
Although having reserved the August trip several months to; advance, few of the proposed hotels in the original list were eventually made. confirmed by Authentik Canada; this results in a lack of homogeneity, sometimes better sometimes less well compared to our original request. Find yourself at Jasper at; 4 in one bedroom; two beds of 1.40m without any place for the numerous luggage, without a very explicit highlighting in the confirmation received is very unpleasant and not very understandable.
At the next stage, a complete chalet still for 4 was a great luxury.
The hotel in Vancouver is remarkably well located.
The circuit:
Very well. ditto for the rented spacious Dodge.
Options: the cowboys' lunch which motivated us only moderately to; the booking turned out to be wrong. perfect (thanks Laurence, who had put it forward).
Suggestions:
Putting the seaplane flight at 10 minutes from the hotel imperatively in the morning instead of the afternoon, because we could not do a real hike in the afternoon being cut off right in the middle.
Specify that you absolutely need a free altarpiece permit from the Visitor Center to access Mount Edith Cavell.
Specify the (high) price of the ferries and that it is recommended to book the ferry to Nanaimo (+$17), the total route of the stage being very long.
The detour via Victoria is long and uninteresting: one more day to visit. Jasper would replace it well, because the stage of Jasper or Lake Louise deserves more time.
The copper mine combined with the Sea to Sky Gondola neatly cuts off the long drive to Ucluelet.
Above all: receive the travel diary in France before departure, because the loupé from reception to the first hotel deprived us of as a guide for the whole trip; moreover, receiving it a fortnight before would allow better preparation.
It was a very beautiful trip with breathtaking landscapes. breathtaking (in the literal sense also with the elevations and the heat), wild animals galore (including a grizzly bear at Mount Edith Cavell and whales at Tofino).

Many km by car and many km by car. foot!
(Translated by Google) We liked it very much. our voyage of discovery of Canada! The circuit was for the most part well constructed, the places to be to visit was extraordinary! Nature is really beautiful we met. bears elk, deer, rabbits, groundhogs, eagles etc. two steps from us and saw magical places. However, you should know that this trip is not at all relaxing: there are a lot of km to go. driving (and even if the roads are pleasant) it is very tiring. In addition, sometimes on site you have to walk a lot if you really want to visit the parks properly... [...]
I'm drinking beer
(Translated by Google) a very beautiful journey with grandiose and varied landscapes. One or two stages however seemed less essential (very artificial aspect and "touristland" of the Whistler station in particular). That said, a very nice trip. The Authentik consultant provided quality work. and showed himself particularly to listening. A big thank-you.
A beautiful well organized trip.
(Translated by Google) Western Canada is magnificent for its landscapes and the harmonious cohabitation between inhabitants and wildlife. Thanks to; Authentik Canada for the choice of stages and hotels of the "Legendary Splendors" route and at Laurence for her advice and adaptation to; my requests.
Réussite complète !
(Translated by Google) Everything went very well. Our Roadbook was waiting for us as planned in the first hotel on the circuit. The "legendary splendours" circuit includes the great classic stages of Western Canada and is very pleasant to discover. done over 3 weeks (we initially planned to do it in 2 weeks, but that's too many kilometers of driving each day). Ending the stay with a visit to Vancouver Island is ideal as this island is so pleasant. Only (small) downside: we missed; our ferry as the traffic is dense at; Vancouver and high demand for ferry seats. IF you're taking the ferry, plan to arrive a long time. advance... [...]
Very nice trip to western Canada
(Translated by Google) For the second year in a row, we have called upon Authentik Canada to organize our trip and we were very satisfied. Our advisor took all our requests into account and also made interesting suggestions and recommendations. We found the roadbook that was given to us given at the start, as well as the very useful map of the region. We also appreciated that all our destinations have been programmed at ahead of the GPS.
After an excellent trip to Quebec last year, we made a wonderful trip to Western Canada and discovered the very beautiful landscapes of the Rockies and the Pacific.

Magnificent circuit of Western Canada
(Translated by Google) Three weeks during we successively discovered Vancouver, Vancouver Island as well as the parks of Jasper, Banff to end with 2 days in the Okanagan Valley.
The general impression was excellent, we immediately felt at home in Canada!
Vancouver, for those who don't know, the tourist bus tour is really worth it, do not hesitate to visit Vancouver. take advantage of the whole day to do the two proposed circuits. With a special crush on the anthropology museum.
Vancouver Island: Pacific Rim amazed us, the sunsets are splendid. On the other hand, a little disappointment for Victoria and the Butcher's gardens (perhaps because we have already had the chance to visit many magnificent gardens in Great Britain.
Whistler, a young and lively city, do not hesitate

Exceeded our expectations.
(Translated by Google) For timing reasons, we had deleted 2 days: one to Okanogan and a & agrave; Victoria. No regrets for Okanogan. Victoria certainly deserves a full day there. One day could be reclaimed; by removing the Calicum Beach stage which did not present much interest. All you need to do is book a ferry early enough in the morning to connect Whistler to Whistler in the daytime. Ucluelet. Otherwise the circuit as a whole is pleasant and well paced. very happy with our trip
(Translated by Google) We appreciated the professionalism, the availability, the reactivity, the choice of hotels, the courtesy, the roadbook which is well constructed and gives useful information, the GPS.
We would have liked receive the roadbook before departure which would allow for more visibility; between the stages and to prepare them.
We would like to nominate the folks from the great pacific adventures and remote passages marine excursions. I do not know the names of the employees of these two companies, but these two people knew how to make us spend unforgettable moments and transmit their passions to us in spite of the language barrier. Both spoke English and unfortunately I do not understand English but they knew how to give us an unforgettable experience.

(Translated by Google) The organization of the trip, well detailed brochure. Availability and KARINE's patience. The hotels on the whole good and clean except BEAVERFOOT. The best have been : THE HILLCREST HOTEL, ALPINE MEADOWS RESORT, WHISTLER PINNACLE and SUNDANCE RANCH regarding; COAST PLAZA and COAST CAPRI have been very well.
The 2 nightmarish nights spent at; POCAHONTAS have been very difficult. Poorly located hotel roadside what I didn't want I asked for quiet hotels. We have been greeted by a battalion of mosquitoes when getting out of the car so there were plenty of them in the apartment (you have nothing to do with it, it's the season) we had to ask; the hotel a lamp that has not been very effective. If there had been air conditioning, we could have chased them away more easily. We were not in a chalet but in the main building in front of the swimming pool where everyone was screaming until evening. Poor soundproofing from noisy neighbors talking up. very late at night. It was very hot there, impossible to open to get some air at night. because of the noise from the freeway. The restaurant is expensive and very average, staff not very smiling (rare in Canada). WHY did you choose this hotel far from JASPER 60 km round trip when there are plenty of nice hotels in town? proximity from the city ?? BEAVERFOOT LODGE surprising place by its side; "BABA COOL" 70s. very well received by CATHERINE and RAPHAEL and we had a new but poorly maintained chalet: broken window, entrance door with forced padlock, interior not very clean. We washed the windows and past a sweep. On the other hand, clean sanitary facilities and bedding. It's a shame because we enjoyed it. the place super quiet and very "in Canada" !!! The restaurant also deserves a sweep, we have often cleaned up. our outdoor table before eating. The person preparing breakfast does not have a very neat outfit, he would be better off in the fields than at home. the kitchen. Hygiene is far from perfect, one has the impression that the owners are overwhelmed. We have found It was part of the folklore we liked, but it can cause problems for neat freaks. Super very tasty cuisine even if there are only vegetables and pasta and pizza, very well presented. Homemade bread and pastries: exceptional. The kindness and the smile of our hosts made us forget the small inconveniences!!! We found that the SUNDANCE RANCH (2000 dollars was very expensive) because we are not horse riders and we did not know that we could have gone up several times, we only did it once. It is more an establishment for horse enthusiasts, which was not our case. But the place and the restaurant are sublime. We don't regret.
CATHERINE and RAPHAEL from BEAVERFOOT are friendly and charming even if hygiene remains poor. see again. Catherine for the quality; of his bread and cakes

(Translated by Google) Attention and availability of the travel consultant who stayed at listening. The formula that allows you to have total freedom; and not to worry about finding a hotel on site. We appreciated the location of the hotels and the quality of these as a whole.
Overall the accommodations were fine. But we sometimes had the impression of having one of the least well-equipped rooms in the hotel (on the road side or at the intersection of two corridors with the associated noise, above the system fans). air conditioning unit of the hotel). The hostesses at the reception were very helpful; but the imprint of CB is a little disconcerting.

The travel diary was very good, and sufficient and the organization also, no worries.

More precision on the differences between the types of housing would be appreciated. By presenting the hotels in three categories, you gave birth to hope in us. legitimate first sight that by changing category, we change to both room comfort and amenities in the hotel, and the location of said room. If you had told us what the differences were within the hotel we had chosen, we could have refined our choice, or even modified it completely.
Very well explained activities and very complete travel diary, but too little time to spend. Victoria. No problems at the organizational level.
