We had problems with both the water supply to / in the RV and the hob. And had to spend too much time on the phone to Cruise Canada customer services trying to get things sort. We were expected to find a screwdriver from other campers (not the thing you pack in your suitcase when coming from overseas) and take it to a repair garage which again ate into our vacation time. Felt the company had not done proper checks to see that the vehicles was fit to be hired out. Introductory information on the vehicle was brief - may have been fine for people use to hiring an RV but for novices like ourselves we would have appreciated a longer / more careful introduction. Fortunately nearby campers on our first campsite were able to help us out. Would probably not use this firm again to hire an RV. [...]
Vancouver to Calgary and back road trip
The guys at Fraserway were very helpful and efficient.
Explained everything to you about your van and answered any questions you had.
Did not rush you on pick up of van or when you were returning it.
Could not fault them.
High quality RV and good service
The RV we had from Fraserway was perfect. The size was exactly what we expected, it was clean and very new (only 5000km on it). The pick-up service was impeccable and the staff is very knowledgeable. I think almost every language was covered by the staff which is certainly helpful in case you are not a native speaker.
3 things that could be improved:
- More options for rental with small kids. I.e. a high chair (just one from Ikea) would be very very useful. Also, the choice of car seats was limited.
- Return of the RV took very long
- Shuttle service back from Fraserway to the airport. We waited for over an hour and were then told it was another 30mins wait at least! So we ended up taking an uber on our own cost. You would expect them to know the amount of people returning an RV on any given day and ensure enough transportation options.

your website said we could attach our own bike carrier. When we tried to do this we discovered the trailer hitch insert had a device that blocked this from happening. So we couldn't bring our bikes.
The RV was very dark inside even if the sun was shining brightly. It could use to have a skylight.
The Velcro was missing on one side of the front window privacy curtain. We had to buy clothespins to hold it up.

3 RV rental
Picking up the RV went well, we picked it up a hour earlier than scheduled, the videos to watch before collection was good as you can refer back to them.
Unfortunately a lot of things on our RV was broken and it wasn't very clean on collection. However it got us around a 3 week road trip. Very big fuel tank, however done well on miles per gallon.
Ordered the unlimited service, as there was only 2 of us, unfortunately they would only let us take 3 bedding worth. The sheets and towels were stained and didn't feel very clean. We washed them as soon as we had chance. When returning the RV it was discussed to return it at 8 but there was no office staff until 8.30. However when I had to call out of hours for help and the electric wasn't coming through on the first connect, the phone line and person was very helpful and solved the problem within seconds.

Very efficient collection and drop off
We had read differing reviews of Cruise Canada, but I can say that we were very pleased to have an efficient service from them. We called a couple of days in advance of pick up and told to call first thing on our collection day. Which we did and we were given a collection time that morning, so we didn’t have to wait around until the afternoon and could get under way. We were shown around the van and left to unpack ourselves at our leisure. We rented the personal bedding sets which comprised a pillowcase, sheet and duvet/sleeping bag. These were all fine, although it would have been nice to have figured out a way of changing these mid trip. After 12 days on the road they weren’t very fresh! The quality of the towels was poor though. Pretty threadbare and I’m glad we brought our own. The provisioning kit was fine, although it felt a bit like things that previous renters had bought. The cutlery was in a plastic bag and non matching. It was fine though.
So my advice is to bring a fitted sheet for the mattress as the flat sheets don’t stay put on a vinyl mattress, and bring your own towels too.

Very unhappy
Over priced and not what we expected we’d be getting the RV also felt like it had no suspension felt very bumb very uncomfortable ride . No heat in the back no stereo system in the back . I would not recommend this company to friends or family .
A perfect PV rental company
I don't have anything bad to tell about the Four Seasons Retal company. Realy everything was very satisfying and the smaller problems during the travel with the car were solved fast and very good.
Thank You for the great service and the nice RV they had for us ! Next time I will choose the same compay for sure.
rv review May 2024
We hired the van for 10 nights. It was easy to drive and park and hook up. There was enough space for the 2 of us + our luggage. The bed was easy to prepare and quite comfy. We enjoyed our stay overall but we do have one issue:
The bedding (quilts) didn’t feel very clean, were stained and thin. Sadly we think this was the cause for the van emitting an unpleasant ‘worn in’ odour of sweat whenever we returned after parking up for a time. The hidden air fresheners were cloying and did little to mask the problem
The kettle was broken on collection but we managed to repair it. The Wc light flickers constantly - sorry we meant to inform you of these little things when we returned it.
Bedding aside, we had a very enjoyable experience and recommended the company to people who enquired of it during our trip.

Friendly, good value service.
Staff very helpful when collecting and returning RV. Sensible view to vehicle condition pre rental and on return. Conscious to ask if we had any issues (very small water leak from U-bend under sink) in order to rectify and initial concerns about small issues sorted before leaving depot.
Excellent transfer service from YVR airport hotel and back to airport.
Canadian tour
The RV was fully functional and sound, it just appeared a little tired.

Great trip
We started in Vancouver, stayed on Vancouver Island for a couple of nights then headed up the coast and around to jasper and Banff. Trip was beautiful and we had no problems with RV.

Good experience but little attention to pollution
There is no point in paying "1% for the planet" when the RVs are 7.2-liter displacement Fords. This is the thing that makes me lower the rating from 5 to 4 stars.
If I use a vehicle to tour the parks I would like it to be less polluting than such a displacement.
The other thing I liked least is that no payment is accepted except by credit card. What is the problem with accepting an international transfer?
Otherwise everything went well: both pickup and dropoff were done well, and the RV equipment had even more than I expected.

We think that our RV was cleaned in quite a hurry before we picked it up, because we found quite a lot of long, black hair around...

Excellent pick up and drop off service. Adequately equipped for 2. Comfortable living space and bed. No major faults arose during the trip.
It would be useful to have a vehicle manual to refer to.
We very much enjoyed the RV lifestyle.

The staff in Whitehorse was really professional and helpful. During our Journey we had a problem with the rv, therefore we called Fraserway and the staff recalled us back in a few minutes with politness and availability (the problem was little and was resolved in short time). Very good!
Flawless experience
Our first RV holiday and really happy with our experience from start to finish.
Booked early at a great price, great communication throughout and perfect service from Cruise Canada who provided the RV. Definitely recommend and hope to use again at some point in the future!
Our vacation in Canada
Our dream came true. RV renting went very well. Service was excellent without any problem. Tge RV was almost brand new. It was super clean, comfortable, like at home. Everything worked perfectly. I can not find any issue, discomfort during the 3weeks. Nice, correcet and helpful people, beautiful country, unbeliveable hiking trails, efficient services, clean environment and I could continue this with many positive things, however this is depending also on the mindset of us as usual. 3 and a half weeks 6000km
Team was friendly but pick up and drop off was busy. RV did not let us down. We were short a few items in the kitchen kit and would be good to include a water pressure regulator in the RV kit.
Also would have been nice to have the 5 personal kits as on the invoice rather than the 4 provided.
Great way to tour BC, perhaps slightly overpriced
Firstly, this was a great holiday and a brilliant way to tour BC and we had an amazing time, making some lovely memories. The staff at the Vancouver supplier were very friendly and helpful.
However, as much as we didn't have any problems with the van, we paid for a van valued at £3k+, before mileage packages, insurance etc and we felt that the internal standard of finish was not worth the amount we paid. Small things like the velcro on the cushions didn't stick together, the privacy curtain for the front window didn't really stick up very well due to extremely worn velcro, the mosquito netting came away from it's frame a lot, the vertical sliding blinds seemed to double over on themselves when being brought down, which made them difficult to open and finally, we had a mouse visit our van on two consecutive nights, and seemingly got in very easily, despite our best efforts to block any obvious accesses. The drawers also seemed to stick and requires some persuasion on a couple of incidences to open/close.
Mechanically, the van was great, a really comfortable ride and we didn't have any problems of that nature and so we had confidence in the vehicle's performance.
I do appreciate that this van was at the cheaper end of the scale, we completed a lot of research prior to committing to this supplier. For the money we paid, we were expecting a much higher standard of finish/detail.
I hope this can be taken constructively as it didn't detract from our experience, we wanted to make sure we were honest with our feedback.

Best vacation ever!
We booked our conversion van through Authentik for our Canadian Rockies trip. Authentik was able to help us find a van that would allow us to pick up in Vancouver and drop off in Edmonton. They were always quick to respond to email questions and the process was seamless. I would definitely contact Authentik Canada again when planning a trip to Canada.

Authentik Canada was a breeze to work with. From booking right through to collecting the RV, the whole process was easy, clear and quick. Questions were answered quickly and info sent over by email was clear and concise.
Our RV provider was Fraserway and they too were absolutely incredible, from picking up the RV, to 24 hr contact available on the road and returning the RV. We are over the moon with our choice to book with Fraserway via Authentik Canada, it was cheaper than going direct too! The RV was exactly as described and felt brand new and very clean.
As for our trip - Canada was built to be seen by RV, what an unforgettable trip. RV camping gave us the opportunity to get right into nature and watch the beautiful wildlife of the country.

Rv rental
Happy with how the rental process was provided by authentik canada, however the customer service provided by the rv rental company cruise canada was not very good. The staff were apathetic at best , non committal with offering advise, and everything just seemed too much trouble. The rv itself was great, no issues and made for a great experience.
We loved it!
The pick up was very easy. Nigel explained everything very well. The RV was really clean.
We rented an RV a few years ago in the USA, that one was really old compared to this one. The kitchen is well equipped. The outdoor shower is funny addition (even though we didn't use it). The only point of improvement would be a better mattress.
What a wow experience.
Everything g was easy and exactly as we hoped. The price was very reasonable and the company providing the motorhome supported us throughout the lead up to our trip. They even advised us on better pre hire accommodation and provided a shuttle service at a small cost both before and after the hire. Well done to all concerned.
