Our favorite campsites: Goldstream in Victoria (in the middle of nature, without water or electricity, but close and well-maintained sanitary facilities, and a magical forest) and Whistler (all the facilities in front of an incredible view of the mountains, we regret having spent only 1 night). The campsites that we do not recommend: the 2 based on golf courses, Golden (which has the prize: construction site toilets, overflowing garbage cans, and particularly numerous and aggressive mosquitoes) and Wells Gray (Camping-car next to each other others like in a car park, adding mud, incidentally no light in the toilets and zero reception).
Our route from Vancouver to Calgary was varied and pleased our teenagers (and almost made us forget the absence of wifi...): the beaches of Pacific Rim, the wild animals of the National Parks and the ride at the top of the Jasper cable car . We especially loved the fantastic scenery on the route des glaciers up to Louise. And regret not having spent more time there. A word of advice: be careful not to drive more than 4 hours per day, Canadian roads are not all in good condition, or sometimes simply magnificent, making you want to stop to visit/take photos every 5 minutes.
