Very good service and an interesting program for the roundtrip

We had a very interesting and rich trip via Authentic Canada. Doing it with a private car enabled us to visit the things that were of interest to us at our own pace. We were welcomed at each hotel. The reservations were flawless.
Some hotels offered a minimum service (i.e. no breakfast, no restaurant). But we managed to provide for our own healthy breakfast and lunch by buying a small supply in supermarkets.
The roadbook is a good start to establish you own program. This means independency but also preparation and research. Planning ahead is mandatory to enjoy the trip.
One thing that absolutely needs to be clarified is the insurance of the rental car. In Europe the insurance covers the damage caused to third parties. An extra insurance covers the own damage to the car. We had a little incident with the car. Our own car was undamaged, but-t the other car had a little dent. Up to now it is still not clear if this was covered by the insurance (this is a minimum in our eyes!).
