Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Protection in the event of collision, fire, theft and vandalism (except in the case of negligence on the part of the driver). Insurance with third party liability protection. The maximum that you will have to pay corresponds to the deposit blocked on your credit card at the time of vehicle pick-up (see below).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are not responsible for the accident, you will have no deductible to pay. The deductible is payable only if you are declared responsible for the accident.
Credit card: You must present a credit card in the name of the principal driver. The sum of $500 or $1,000 (depending on the vehicle class) will be pre-authorized on the credit card. This amount serves as a guarantee for the return of the vehicle, accessories etc, and to pay any damages owing. This amount will be released when the vehicle is returned in good condition.
NB: This protection does not cover glass breakage or tire punctures. Extra coverage will be offered to you when you pick up the vehicle; it is left to your discretion to take it or not.
